"Shattered Dreams" is a program aimed at local high school students to teach them the repercussions of drinking and driving. The program is conducted at one of our local high schools each year and is complete with police, fire, EMS, and PHI response. The crash scene is played out before the student body just as if it were a true motor vehicle accident. It informs and educates students about the number of young lives that have already been lost because of the tragic consequences of underage drinking. According to the Texas DPS website, in 2000 every 20 minutes someone in Texas was injured or killed as a result of drinking and driving. By educating local students hopefully we can reduce that number and not shatter the dreams of anyone.
